Week 35 Pregnancy When to see your Gynecologist in Bangalore
Week 35 Pregnancy – Symptoms, Child Development, and Tips
Your stomach now measures up to 6 inches from atop the uterus to the belly button, and you may have put on about 30 pounds. There are chances that you may gain even more weight later on.
On the other side, your child might look like a honeydew melon, i.e. 17-18 inches long and weighing up to 6 pounds. Her liver might be working, and she developed her kidneys. Her limbs might be plump with fat, and she will also gain weight rapidly this week, i.e. up to ½ pounds each week.
Specialized care must be given if your baby is born prematurely this week. According to the CDC, such babies are at high risk of developing breathing issues, digestive problems, and also stay longer at the hospital.
If you are delivering twins, cesarean delivery might be recommended. Ask your anesthesiologist to plan delivery in advance and discuss your medical history. Ensure that everything is doing well, and you have to prepare a few blood tests. Lung maturity might be tested if your babies are below 39 weeks old during the delivery.
For cesarean delivery, your abdomen will be cleaned off, and you will get an IV for medicines. Then, you will get a spinal block or any other type of anesthesia from your anesthesiologist. Your doctor will reach your babies by making an incision. After delivery, your placenta will also be delivered with the incision. The doctor will close your abdomen with sutures. Finally, you will see your babies.
Symptoms
You might be feeling uneasy or uncomfortable by this time. You may also keep dealing with one of these symptoms in the third trimester –
- Trouble breathing
- Fatigue
- Having to pee frequently
- Heartburn
- Problem in sleeping
- Hemorrhoids
- Swelling of fingers, ankles, or face
- Tender breasts
- Lower back pain
- Milky/watery leakage off the breasts
The problem of breathing might improve when your baby moves down through the lightning process. But this process may also make you go to the bathroom again and again, as your baby pressurizes your bladder. In the next few weeks, it might happen anytime, especially if it’s your first pregnancy.
During this period, sleeping issues are also very common. So, it would help if you try and sleep left. Some women use a pregnancy pillow, while some use a recliner, sleep on an air mattress, or guest bedroom.
Tips for Healthy Pregnancy this week
You should keep going with a healthy diet this time. Even though you are not fine, try to have a brisk walk and stay active whenever you can. You may want to get your hospital bag ready and keep it around. You can also arrange for the care of other children when you would be at the hospital.
It’s the right time to pamper yourself and chill before you will be busy welcoming your new member. You may get a pregnancy massage or go for a “babymoon” with your partner, bond before her arrival, and go out for a quick weekend to unwind.
Best Time to see the doctor
As the delivery date is just a few weeks left, you may not experience enough movements of your baby. It is normal to some extent. Your uterus is getting cramped up. But you will still feel the movement, i.e. maybe around 10 times in an hour. It’s better to call your doctor or gynecologist quickly if you don’t feel any movement at all. Maybe your child is fine, but it’s better not to take a chance.
Along with it, ask your doctor if you have one of these symptoms –
- Chills or fever
- Bleeding
- Foul vaginal discharge
- Painful urination
- Changes in vision
- Severe headaches
- Blind spots
- Painful, consistent contractions (maybe in your back or abs)
- Water breaks
The Takeaway
You may not be willing to accept that your pregnancy term is finally going to end. After one week or so, you may be on your full term. You may have gone through painful days, but you are feeling relieved by knowing that you will finally be welcoming your baby to the world.
